When Bo & Carrie stop for the Mississippi Highway Patrol road block and Bo says "Are you ready Roy?" to which Carrie replies "I was born ready", that is Burt's impression of "Gabby" Hayes from the Roy Rogers' movies.

However, it always reminds me of the scene from the movie "White Lightning" (1973) when "Rebel Roy" and Gator McClusky have a similar exchange. Here is a video clip...
